This book really is described by its title … it presents the Absolute Essentials of Digital Marketing. That said, I suppose it could also carry the title of An Introduction to Digital Marketing. It might also be considered to be the short version of my Digital Marketing – a Practical Approach. Indeed, it follows a very similar format to that book, covering what I consider to be the key aspects of the subject within a series of chapters. I suspect that whilst Digital Marketing – a Practical Approach is written to be used as the core text for a module on the subject*, this text might be used to cover the subject within a wider study of marketing. For example, for the digital aspect of a Marketing Strategy module or a broader study of online marketing in a module or programme that concentrates on a single aspect of the subject such as social media or website development.
* Note that he way the subject is approached has resulted in it being popular as a self-help book for marketing managers or small business owners.
